Can a complete beginner join?

Roots welcomes children ages 10–12 who are new to baseball or have some experience. Confirm the next intake’s age group and availability with Lai. Other programs may have different entry requirements.

Does my child need a glove or bat?

Ask what is provided for your chosen session before buying equipment. Request the clothing, footwear and equipment guidance when you confirm your place.

Can parents stay and watch?

Confirm the venue’s arrangements with ABI, including whether parents can stay, where spectators should stand and whether drop-off is permitted. Do not assume a session offers drop-off supervision.

What happens if it rains?

Ask how that session handles bad weather, who makes the decision and how families are notified. Check with ABI before travelling when conditions are uncertain.

How are children supervised?

Before attending, ask who leads the session, how supervision is arranged and how arrival and collection work. Confirm handover arrangements with the team.

Who should I contact with a concern?

Email Lai at info@advancebaseball.org for program questions or to ask for the appropriate person to handle a concern. For an immediate issue at a session, speak to the coach in charge. Email is not an emergency response channel.

Does the form reserve a place?

No. It records your interest and contact details. Availability, suitability, fees and attendance arrangements need to be confirmed separately with ABI.

How soon will I hear back?

If you need an answer before making plans, contact Lai directly. Your child’s place must be confirmed by ABI.
